Frank Schaeffer
The son of famed evangelical theologian Francis A. Schaeffer (1912-1984), Francis "Frank" Schaeffer left the Presbyterian church and pursued a career in writing and filmmaking. His first original film, Wired to Kill, was released in 1986; he went on to direct several more Hollywood films and has since offered political commentary from the unique point of view of an evangelical-turned-atheist.
