Jamal Watson - Crew

Jamal Watson is the Senior Vice President of Development and Production at Monkeypaw Productions. Prior to joining Monkeypaw, Watson served as Vice President of Development and Production at Overbrook Entertainment. During his time at Overbrook, he worked his way from the role of intern to the executive ranks. Watson gained a skillset for telling diverse stories that cater to global audiences. Jamal produced ABFF Festival Winner and African Academy Award Nominee "Sprinter," Sundance 2019 selection & official 2019 TIFF selection "Hala," he served as an executive to Will Smith on Disney’s live action version of "Aladdin," and an Executive Producer on the six-part docuseries "Amend."
