Jean-Gabriel Albicocco
Jean-Gabriel Albicocco was a French film director and screenwriter noted for his poetic visual style. Born in Cannes, he began his career as a cinematographer before transitioning to directing. Albicocco gained acclaim with The Girl with the Golden Eyes (1961), an adaptation of Honoré de Balzac's novella, and The Wanderer (1967), based on Alain-Fournier's novel Le Grand Meaulnes.
