Ponco Sutiyem
Ponco Sutiyem (1917 – January 4, 2022) was an Indonesian farmer from Yogyakarta, best known for her role as Mbah Sri in the film Ziarah (2016).
Biography
Ponco Sutiyem married Ponco Sentono (1910–2020) in 1940. From their marriage, they had seven children. Their marriage ended with Ponco Sentono's passing in 2020.
Ponco Sutiyem passed away at her residence in Gunungkidul, Special Region of Yogyakarta, on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at 10:00 PM WIB, due to a stroke, at the age of 105.
According to local residents, Mbah Ponco also suffered from malnutrition as she refused to eat and drink for 20 days.
