Maeve Murphy
Maeve's first feature Silent Grace starring Orla Brady about the women who went on the iconic 1980 IRA Dirty Protest and Hunger Strike and written out of history was selected to represent the UK at Cannes and placed in The Irish Times 2020 Best 50 Irish Films Ever Made. Her second feature Beyond the Fire, starring Cara Seymour screened in cinemas ran into censorship issues but given an instant broadcast by TV3/Virgin Media and the BBC. She made Taking Stock starring Kelly Brook a fun feature caper about revenging shop assistants, "Popular on Netflix". Her short St Pancras Sunrise about a young Irish woman musician arriving in Kings Cross, is based on the killing of Patsy Malone, a Kings Cross sex worker. It screened at Raindance, won 8 awards internationally.
